What You’ll Do
- Partner with Engineering Directors to set tech and product direction for 20‑50 engineers.
- Lead hands‑on coding and architecture for core backend services.
- Work with Product and Design to shape roadmaps and prioritize impact.
- Align multiple squads around complex problems, delivering clarity and momentum.
- Mentor senior engineers and drive technical excellence across teams.
What You Need
- 12+ years of software engineering experience.
- Leadership of large‑scale distributed backend or data‑intensive systems.
- Strong technical judgment with product and business awareness.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders across engineering and product.
- Proven track record mentoring senior engineers.
Good to Have
- Proficiency in Scala or Go and experience with Kafka or Aerospike.
- Open‑source contributions and agile development expertise.
The Opportunity
