Carrier Technologies – Senior Data Engineer – Google Cloud Platform — Senior Data Engineer – Google Cloud Platform – Hyderabad This role focuses on designing and operating scalable data pipelines on a GCP-based Lakehouse architecture. You will enable analytics and AI/ML by leveraging Google Cloud Platform services while adhering to open data standards. It is an opportunity to work with cross-functional teams to deliver trusted, well-governed datasets. What You’ll Do Design and implement batch and streaming data pipelines on GCP. Build ingestion and transformation pipelines aligned with Lakehouse patterns. Optimize pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. Implement data storage using Lakehouse principles and open table formats. Design analytical data models optimized for BI and advanced analytics. Implement automated data quality checks, validation rules, and metadata lineage. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and troubleshoot data pipelines for stability. What You Need 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles. Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services like BigQuery and Dataflow. Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and transformation. Experience building batch and streaming data pipelines in production. Solid understanding of Lakehouse architecture concepts and modern analytics data modeling. Good to Have Experience with open table formats like Apache Iceberg. Familiarity with Dataplex, data catalogs, or metadata management tools. Exposure to AI/ML pipelines or integration with Vertex AI. Experience with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
