Data Engineer – Collibra

Bengaluru-based Quest Global needs someone seriously proficient in Collibra – and not just the interface, but the underlying data governance principles. They’re building out a function to manage data as a critical asset, ensuring it’s secure, compliant, and actually *useful* across the organisation. This isn’t about simply moving data; it’s about establishing standards, documenting lineage, and making sure everyone plays by the rules.

You’ll be responsible for designing and maintaining the pipelines that keep information flowing, working with stakeholders to enforce policies, and proactively identifying data quality issues. Expect to spend time training colleagues and resolving governance-related roadblocks – a significant part of this role is influence and communication. A degree in a relevant field is expected, and experience in data governance or management is non-negotiable. Certification (DM-BOK, CDMP) is a definite plus.

Cloud experience is increasingly important – they’re leveraging cloud tools for storage and analysis, so familiarity is beneficial. Frankly, this is a foundational role within a growing team; expect a fast pace and the opportunity to shape things from the ground up.
