Tekskills is a growing company that helps businesses make better decisions using data. We build and maintain systems that collect, process, and store information so our clients can understand their customers and improve their operations.
As a Data Engineer, you’ll be working with data every day – getting it ready for analysis. You’ll be building data pipelines using a tool called DBT, which helps organize and test SQL code. You’ll also be working with Snowflake, a powerful data warehouse where we store large amounts of information. A big part of the role involves writing and optimizing code in PL/SQL to move and transform data. You’ll need to understand how data should be structured for easy reporting, like knowing the difference between star and snowflake schemas. Keeping track of changes to the code using Git and automating the process of updating our data systems will also be important.
We’re looking for someone who has a good understanding of data engineering principles and ideally, some experience with these technologies. You should be comfortable writing SQL and have a desire to learn new tools. Familiarity with tools like Airflow would be a bonus, but isn’t essential.
This position is based in Pune and is an onsite role. While the original listing asked for 6+ years of experience, we are open to considering candidates with 2-3 years of relevant experience who demonstrate strong skills. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
