Zorba AI is looking for a Data Engineer with 4+ years of experience to strengthen and expand our analytics and reporting capabilities. Based in Gurugram, Haryana, India, you will be instrumental in designing, constructing, and refining data pipelines, data models, and reporting systems that drive impactful enterprise analytics.
This role requires a solid background in Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI, and Cognos, alongside the ability to collaborate effectively in a global team. You will be responsible for building and optimizing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines utilizing tools like Talend, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Snowflake, translating business needs into effective technical solutions. Performance tuning, cost control, and ensuring pipeline scalability are key aspects of this position.
You will also create and maintain Power BI datasets, dashboards, and reports, ensuring data governance, security, and privacy are maintained throughout all processes. Collaboration with international teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver solutions is essential. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining documentation, implementing CI/CD pipelines for data workflows, utilizing GitHub for version control, monitoring data workflow health, and supporting all phases of solution delivery.
Candidates should possess strong Snowflake skills including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning. Advanced Power BI expertise (DAX, dashboard design, data modeling, performance optimization) is also required, as is proficiency in SQL and relational database principles. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, and Cognos is necessary. Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages and a strong understanding of data warehousing and reporting architectures are also expected.
Experience with Data Engineering and DevOps practices, along with proficiency in SQL, Python/PySpark, Shell scripting, or Scala are preferred. Exposure to cloud-based analytics ecosystems, particularly Azure, experience with multi-region/global teams, and knowledge of data governance frameworks are considered valuable assets.
