Data Engineering Consultant – Gurugram
The role bridges data engineering and health‑care impact, enabling Optum to deliver better outcomes for millions worldwide. You’ll work on high‑volume ETL pipelines, improve performance, and help the team build AI‑driven tools that continually accelerate the software delivery lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
Analyze and resolve user‑submitted tickets.
Interpret data issues and provide clear explanations.
Assess source systems and design ETL mappings.
Build unit, integration and user test cases for ETL processes.
Draft conceptual and technical design documentation.
Tune SQL queries for optimal performance.
Contribute proactively to project value and team goals.
What You Need
7+ years experience developing ETL solutions.
Strong SQL performance‑tuning skills.
Python and Unix scripting proficiency.
Hands‑on experience with Cloud platforms, Databricks and Snowflake.
Deep understanding of ETL concepts and data‑model design.
Ability to create and maintain ETL documentation.
Proven leadership and client‑facing communication abilities.
