Developer _ (4 to 6 yrs) _ Bangalore — Developer – Bangalore A data‑migration specialist is needed to modernise legacy engineering archives and feed them into modern analytics platforms. This role bridges old‑school file formats with new SQL Server warehouses, offering a chance to impact critical manufacturing insights. What You’ll Do Analyse legacy DAT, DBF, DBT and ZIP files to uncover data structures. Design and build end‑to‑end ETL pipelines for large historical datasets. Optimise SQL Server schemas for manufacturing and engineering records. Implement data quality checks, error handling and archive traceability. Reconcile and validate data between legacy sources and target systems. Collaborate with solution architects, .NET developers, SMEs and analysts. Document mapping logic, migration steps and support testing/production rollout. What You Need 4‑6 years of professional experience in data engineering. Strong SQL Server development and database design expertise. Proficient Python programming for data processing and scripting. Hands‑on experience building ETL solutions for large‑scale migrations. Ability to work with structured and semi‑structured file formats (e.g., DAT, DBF, ZIP). Proven skills in data reconciliation, validation and troubleshooting. Familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting data‑prep tools. Good to Have Experience with legacy xBase environments (DBF/DBT). Background in manufacturing, engineering or aerospace data systems.
