Right, we need a full-stack engineer comfortable building and maintaining applications using the MERN stack – MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. Two years’ solid experience is the baseline here, and proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript is non-negotiable. You’ll be expected to write clean, testable code, and understand the principles of RESTful API design. Git is a given, naturally.
This isn’t just about front-end polish or back-end logic; we need someone who can navigate the entire application lifecycle. Experience with containerization – Docker and Kubernetes specifically – is crucial, as is familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. We’re moving towards event-driven, microservices architectures, so a grasp of asynchronous programming will be heavily utilized. Implementing caching and logging solutions will be part of the daily grind.
Strong debugging skills are essential – you’ll need to track down and resolve issues quickly. Collaboration is key; you’ll be working within a team of around eight developers, all focused on scaling our core platform. Still, be prepared to take ownership and drive features forward independently.
