Website S&P Global Market Intelligence
Java 17+ is the core of what we’re building. S&P Global Market Intelligence, Noida, needs a developer to jump into a team already shipping enterprise applications – and frankly, they need someone who can hit the ground running. This isn’t a training role.
Expect to design, develop, and maintain systems handling significant loads. You’ll collaborate with architects, product folks, and even finance stakeholders – a surprisingly large part of the job involves translating business needs into solid code. Spring Framework 6 and Hibernate are non-negotiable; experience with RESTful APIs is assumed.
Cloud experience is critical. We’re talking AWS, Docker, Kubernetes – the full stack. A strong grasp of software engineering principles isn’t optional, either. We need someone who understands design patterns and can write maintainable code. One to five years of professional Java development experience is the sweet spot.
The team is around fifteen engineers, a mix of seasoned veterans and recent grads – it’s a good environment for learning, but also demands you can contribute independently. Financial knowledge is a definite plus, as is any exposure to data science or machine learning – though we’ll take solid Java skills over buzzwords any day. Good communication is essential; you’ll need to articulate technical challenges clearly. Still, the biggest challenge will be navigating the complexities of financial data – a fascinating, if sometimes opaque, world.
This role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Be prepared to context-switch frequently – things move fast here, and priorities can shift quickly. Consider this a demanding, but ultimately rewarding, opportunity to build impactful systems.
