You’ll design, implement, and maintain Java applications that deliver reliable, scalable services across our enterprise landscape. The role offers a chance to impact core payment processing systems.
What You’ll Do
- Define, code, and test modular Java components aligned with architectural guidelines.
- Optimize database interactions and refactor legacy Oracle logic to PostgreSQL.
- Debug and resolve production incidents in coordination with stakeholders.
- Mentor junior developers and promote best coding practices.
- Participate in sprint planning and reviews to ensure quality delivery.
- Support continuous integration pipelines and deploy builds via Gradle or Maven.
What You Need
- 5–8 years Java/J2EE development experience.
- Core Java, Hibernate, Spring, and JPA expertise.
- Experience building microservices with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL and Oracle databases.
- Hands‑on knowledge of Kafka, JMS, IBM MQ or ActiveMQ.
- Unit testing with JUnit and Mockito.
- Build automation with Gradle or Maven.
Good to Have
- Knowledge of GPP or payments domain.
- Experience with RESTful and XML web services.
- Exposure to Vertex or similar integration platforms.
