As a Machining Process Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the machining process engineering activities. Your qualifications should include a Diploma or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering obtained through a full-time regular program with 8-10 years of experience in machining process engineering. Your experience should cover various aspects such as time study, lean manufacturing, machining process documentation, value stream study, material handling design, AUTOCAD knowledge, and proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Additionally, you should have hands-on experience with CNC turning, VMC, and HMC, along with expertise in cutting tool knowledge, fixture design and maintenance, and cutting oil applications.

In terms of leadership, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in independently handling activities related to streamlining machining processes, standardizing cutting tools, managing fixtures, overseeing tool cribs, conducting time studies for manpower reduction, improving machines’ OEE, enhancing material handling in machines, estimating and controlling machine shop costs, implementing Kaizen and other improvement initiatives, and optimizing manpower.

Your key responsibilities will include:
– Streamlining machining processes
– Standardizing cutting tools
– Managing fixtures
– Overseeing tool cribs
– Conducting time studies for manpower reduction
– Improving Machines’ OEE
– Enhancing material handling in machines
– Estimating and controlling machine shop costs
– Implementing Kaizen/improvement initiatives
– Optimizing manpower

In addition to these responsibilities, you are expected to possess good communication skills in English, be a team player, and exhibit strong coordination abilities among different departments.
