The role focuses on building robust integrations, custom plugins, and Python‑driven workflows that keep networking assets in sync across cloud, monitoring, and CI/CD platforms. Ideal for developers eager to blend code with real‑world network engineering. What You’ll Do Design and maintain NetBox REST‑API integrations for CMDB, monitoring, and cloud services. Build custom NetBox plugins that extend data models, UI, and validation logic. Write Python automation scripts for device onboarding, IP allocation, VLAN provisioning, and rack management. Implement infrastructure‑as‑code pipelines that generate configurations from NetBox data. Ensure data integrity with webhooks, API polling, and bulk import tools. Optimize performance and compatibility during NetBox upgrades. Collaborate with DevOps and networking teams to deliver end‑to‑end automation solutions. What You Need 4+ years of Python development experience, strong with REST APIs and JSON. Hands‑on knowledge of NetBox data models (DCIM, IPAM, virtualization, circuits). Familiarity with Django basics and Git version control. Solid grasp of networking fundamentals: IP addressing, VLANs, BGP, routing. Understanding of data‑center hardware (racks, power feeds) and cloud/virtualization basics. Experience implementing webhooks and API token authentication.
