Octro – Data Engineer – Python/Apache Spark

As a Data Engineer with us, you’ll be building and looking after the systems that move and process all the data from our games. This means you’ll be designing data pipelines – basically, the routes data takes from where it’s created to where it’s analyzed. You’ll also be making sure these pipelines are reliable and can handle a lot of information. You’ll be working with large datasets to help us understand how players are using our games and improve their experience. You’ll be involved in transforming raw data into useful information for our analysts.

We’re looking for someone who knows Python or Scala well, and has experience using Apache Spark to process data. Experience with Apache Kafka is really helpful, as is familiarity with data stores like ClickHouse, Trino, or Delta Lake. Understanding how to design data models and build efficient data processing systems is important too. If you’ve worked with Elasticsearch, that’s a bonus!
