Principal Software Engineer, Microservices – India
You’ll lead the design and delivery of scalable microservice architectures for B2B clients across Europe. The role supports Bulgaria’s booming tech ecosystem, giving you exposure to multinational projects while working remotely from India. It’s an opportunity to shape high‑performance systems and mentor a growing engineering team.
What You’ll Do
Architect, develop, and maintain cloud‑native microservices.
Define API contracts and enforce standards across services.
Drive performance tuning and reliability engineering initiatives.
Collaborate with product owners to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
Ensure security and compliance best practices are followed.
Participate in on‑call rotation and incident response.
What You Need
Strong expertise in Java, .NET, Go or JavaScript (primary language).
5+ years of experience designing and implementing microservice systems.
Proven track record with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Hands‑on experience in containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, gRPC, and message brokers.
Ability to produce clear system documentation and diagrams.
Good to Have
Experience with event‑driven architectures.
Knowledge of DevOps monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
