Seven-plus years building data solutions is what we need, specifically someone fluent in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. DXC Technology in Bengaluru is hunting for a Senior Azure Data Engineer to join a team currently scaling to meet growing client demand – expect a fast pace.
You’ll be architecting and implementing large-scale data pipelines, leveraging Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Event Hubs, and the full suite of Azure data services. Strong SQL skills are non-negotiable; five years minimum is the baseline. Experience with scripting languages like Python and Spark is essential, alongside familiarity with Unix environments.
Data platforms? Teradata, Cassandra, MongoDB, SQL Server, ADLS, and Snowflake should all be within your wheelhouse. CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Terraform are also key—we move fast, and automation is critical. Knowledge of data governance tools like Montecarlo and Alation is a plus. Streaming queues, particularly MQ, are also relevant.
This isn’t purely a development role; expect a blend of building, administering, and supporting these systems. And frankly, a solid understanding of data privacy principles is increasingly important. The team is collaborative, prioritizing in-person work while acknowledging individual needs.
