Join a stealth‑stage product building a compliance‑heavy operations platform for the tech market. As a senior backend engineer you’ll extend a mature Django monolith that already serves real customers and an active operations team.
What You’ll Do
- Extend and harden a large Django monolith with multiple internal apps.
- Develop and maintain Celery tasks, beat schedules, and background workers.
- Build and support headless Selenium bots for fragile third‑party portal automation.
- Implement and evolve REST integrations with microservices, government APIs, and LLM services.
- Enhance real‑time features using Django Channels and ASGI.
- Contribute to AI subsystem for document classification, OCR, and chat assistance.
- Ensure auditability and multi‑tenant permission enforcement across the codebase.
What You Need
- 4+ years production Python/Django, owning apps and migrations.
- Strong Celery experience with retries and beat schedules.
- PostgreSQL expertise: query tuning, indexing, JSON/array handling.
- Practical Redis use as cache, broker, and channel layer.
- Ability to read and modify large existing codebases safely.
Good to Have
- Selenium or Playwright automation for fragile third‑party portals.
- Practical LLM integration and prompt engineering for reliable extraction pipelines.
