Software Engineering Manager – Java, GenAI

Lead a high‑performing engineering team building modern, secure Java platforms enriched with generative AI capabilities. You’ll guide architecture, drive cloud‑ready modernization, and partner closely with product and security stakeholders. What You'll Do Manage and mentor a team of engineers and junior managers delivering Java services. Ensure releases meet banking architecture, security, scalability, and regulatory standards. Partner with architects to design cloud‑ready migration and AI integration pathways. Remove technical blockers, oversee CI/CD pipelines, and act as escalation point. Conduct code reviews, drive best‑practice adoption, and foster continuous learning culture. Align product roadmap with technical strategy, collaborating with PMs and third‑party vendors. What You Need Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience, primarily Java and Spring/Spring Boot. At least 2 years of leadership managing engineers and delivering complex products. Hands‑on expertise building AI/GenAI features such as LLMs, prompt engineering, and embeddings. Proven experience delivering cloud‑ready, cloud‑native architectures and application modernization. Strong background in DevOps, CI/CD automation, and secure build/deployment practices. Knowledge of data architecture, model governance, and banking‑industry compliance requirements. Good to Have Experience evaluating AI‑enabled developer productivity tools and platforms. Familiarity with financial services risk, audit, and regulatory controls. Track record of leading cross‑functional teams through enterprise AI adoption.
