Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled WordPress Backend Developer to build, manage, and improve WordPress websites and backend systems. The role includes developing custom themes, plugins, APIs, database handling, website optimization, and fixing technical issues. The ideal candidate should have strong PHP and WordPress development experience with clean coding practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain WordPress websites and backend functionality

• Create custom WordPress themes and plugins

• Work with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS

• Customize WooCommerce features and payment integrations

• Optimize website speed, performance, and security

• Manage APIs and third-party integrations

• Troubleshoot bugs and technical issues

• Maintain website backups and updates

• Ensure responsive and mobile-friendly functionality

• Collaborate with designers, frontend developers, and project managers

Required Skills

• Strong experience with WordPress development

• Good knowledge of PHP and MySQL

• Experience with custom plugins and themes

• Understanding of REST APIs and integrations

• Familiarity with WooCommerce customization

• Knowledge of Git/version control

• Understanding of website security and optimization

• Basic knowledge of frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

• 1–3+ years of WordPress backend development experience

• Experience with hosting environments and cPanel

• Knowledge of SEO best practices

• Experience with page builders and custom fields
