Join a fast‑growing SaaS startup building high‑performance backend services for global payments. You’ll lead the design and implementation of Node.js APIs and AWS‑based infrastructure, ensuring secure, scalable handling of subscription billing.
What You’ll Do
- Design and maintain scalable Node.js REST APIs.
- Architect, deploy, and monitor AWS services (EC2, Lambda, RDS, etc.).
- Integrate Stripe, Mollie, and Adyen for subscriptions and recurring billing.
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, and PCI‑DSS compliance.
- Optimize database schemas, queries, and indexes for performance.
- Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams on end‑to‑end delivery.
- Lead code reviews and troubleshoot production incidents.
What You Need
- 5–7 years backend development, primarily Node.js (Express/NestJS).
- Deep hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Proven integration of Stripe, Mollie and Adyen payment gateways.
- Strong knowledge of subscription billing workflows and webhook handling.
- Proficiency with relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/DynamoDB) databases.
- Expertise in security best practices (JWT, OAuth, encryption, OWASP).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and message queues (SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Good to Have
- Experience with AI/ML APIs or data‑driven backend features.
- Knowledge of serverless architectures and Docker/Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with observability tools for logging and monitoring.
