Job summary
The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) team is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join us in Pune, India. In this role, you will work as a member of the IT Enterprise Applications Test Automation team. You will help us implement outstanding test automation tools coupled with industry-leading technologies like Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, Grafana, and Prometheus. You will be a key member of the team, responsible for implementing and improving test automation and supporting one or more enterprise applications ranging from Salesforce.com (SFDC), Apttus, Oracle EBS, and Workday to integration layer technologies. As Senior Quality Engineer, you will collaborate with respective test engineers to create and manage different types of testing, namely regression suite, performance testing, and health check among others. You will contribute to the team’s capabilities by demonstrating technical competence, initiative, creativity, learning, sharing, and teamwork while collaborating with globally distributed team members and stakeholders. Remote candidates with required skills and demonstrated success working their own may also be considered.
Primary job responsibilities
- Develop and curate various types of test automation suits adhering to enterprise automation framework
- Certify builds for platform components going to production
- Build and maintain a framework for test automation
- Create and manage test plans and suites
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners, ensuring proper testing
- Publish quality assurance (QA) test pass-fail summary to management
- Document and transfer your knowledge; develop the capabilities of the Test Automation team
Required skills
- 10+ years of progressive test automation experience in one or more enterprise applications, namely SFDC, Apttus, FinancialForce, Oracle EBS, Workday, web portals, and integration layer
- Good understanding of cloud-delivered applications
- Development experience building test frameworks for automating the testing of platform components from functionality, integration, and performance standpoints
- Testing experience focusing toward achieving over 75% code coverage using identified tools and scripting languages like Selenium, OATs, Postman, SOAPUI, JMeter, etc.
- Solid familiarity with performance, scalability, and load testing using tools like JMeter
- Experience with web services like HTTP, HTTPS, REST APIs, and JSON
- Comfortable with build processes, continuous integration (CI) processes, and managing QA environments, as well as working with tools like Git, Rallis, and JIRA
- Good familiarity with databases; experience writing and understanding database queries
- Prior experience working on agile development teams using methodologies like Scrum or Kanban
The following are considered a plus:
- Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration and mobile testing
- Experience with container-based applications; knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes
- Experience with Python, Java programming, and Groovy
- Domain knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) and subscription billing platforms
