Website Ericsson
Someone needs to build data systems that actually *work* at scale, and we need that someone in Kolkata. Ericsson’s building the backend for next-generation AI – think GenAI systems, AI agents, and enterprise copilots specifically for telecom operations. It’s not research; it’s production.
You’ll be wrestling with massive datasets, designing pipelines using Spark, and ensuring everything runs with low latency. Cassandra and OpenSearch will be your friends. Expect to engineer scalable backend services with Spring Boot, and integrate with AWS (Kiro) or the Microsoft Copilot stack – experience with either is crucial. We’re also building RAG pipelines, embedding models, and generally making data useful for AI.
Strong Python and Java skills are non-negotiable. Docker and Kubernetes are essential. You’ll need a solid grasp of LLMs, embeddings, and the whole GenAI data flow—and experience with vulnerability management is a must. Frankly, keeping things secure is a constant battle.
This team is relatively new, growing quickly, and you’ll have a real opportunity to shape how things are built. Telecom OSS/BSS knowledge would be a bonus – understanding the business context helps – but isn’t mandatory. And while experience with Databricks or Snowflake is helpful, a proven ability to deliver robust, scalable systems—even with challenges—is what we’re really after. It’s a complex stack, demanding work, but the impact is significant.
Consider if you’re comfortable with a fast-paced environment and a lot of moving parts.
