Job Description:
You are being sought for the position of Cocos Game Developer (Frontend) at Pune location. Your primary responsibility will be to develop engaging and high-performance games using Cocos Creator and TypeScript for web and mobile platforms. As a junior or mid-level developer, your tasks will vary based on your experience level.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop games using Cocos Creator with TypeScript
– Implement gameplay features, UI elements, animations, and interactions
– Collaborate with designers to convert concepts into playable experiences
– Optimize game performance in terms of FPS, load time, and memory usage
– Debug and resolve issues across various devices and platforms
– Integrate APIs, SDKs, and backend services
For Experienced Candidates (2-5 years):
– Design and structure game architecture along with reusable components
– Optimize rendering, assets, and overall performance at scale
– Provide mentorship to junior developers and conduct code reviews
– Manage multi-platform deployment (Web, Android, iOS)
– Contribute to game design decisions and technical feasibility
Required Skills (Must-Have):
– Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript
– Hands-on experience with Cocos Creator
– Good grasp of game development concepts such as physics, animation, and UI systems
– Experience in event-driven programming
– Familiarity with Git/version control
– Understanding of performance optimization in games
Preferred Skills:
– Previous experience in 2D game development
– Knowledge of game loops, sprites, scenes, and asset management
– Experience integrating APIs, ad SDKs, and analytics tools
– Exposure to other engines like Unity (bonus)
– Basic understanding of backend/API
