Bombay Softwares needs a solid Python/Django developer. Three-plus years wrestling with Django or Flask is non-negotiable – we’re building and scaling, not experimenting. You’ll be architecting APIs, optimising database performance (SQL skills are vital), and generally ensuring things don’t fall over when traffic spikes.
Expect to be hands-on with Linux, Redis, and version control. Experience with SQLAlchemy is a definite plus. We need someone who understands the full deployment lifecycle and isn’t afraid to debug live systems – a strong grasp of peer review is essential, because code quality matters. You’ll be collaborating with developers and analysts, translating requirements into robust, efficient applications.
This isn’t just about coding, though. We’re a team of around fifteen engineers, and this role involves mentoring junior developers and taking ownership of key components. Frankly, it’s a chance to shape how we build things. And proficiency in a cloud platform like AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with Docker experience, would be highly valued.
