Got a solid Django background? Cyient’s building a large-scale SaaS platform and needs a Python developer to get stuck in. This isn’t about maintaining legacy code; it’s about designing and building components from the ground up, using open-source tech and Agile sprints.
You’ll be writing clean, testable code – the kind that actually works – and proactively exploring new technologies to keep the product sharp. Expect to spend time on proof-of-concepts and documenting your work, because nobody likes a black box. Proficiency with Git is non-negotiable, and strong debugging skills are essential.
Ideally, you’ll have experience with front-end technologies like AngularJS, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, though Python/Django REST is the core requirement. A B.E./B.Tech./MCA is expected. Knowledge of the ODOO framework is a plus, but not essential – we can teach you that.
The team is around 15 developers, a good size for collaboration without getting lost in the shuffle. And frankly, this is a fast-paced environment; expect things to change. This role demands analytical thinking and clear communication – you’ll be working closely with others. It’s a chance to contribute to something substantial, but be prepared to roll up your sleeves and deliver.
