Senior Logistics and Warehouse Operations Manager

Placements24 works with companies to help them move goods efficiently – we provide logistics and supply chain solutions. We’re looking for a talented person to join our client’s team as a Logistics and Warehouse Operations Manager in Chennai.

You’ll be responsible for the smooth running of their warehouse, overseeing everything from when goods arrive to when they’re shipped out. This includes managing the receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping processes, and making sure inventory is accurate. You’ll also be thinking about how to make things more efficient and reduce costs. A big part of the role is leading and developing the warehouse team, ensuring everyone works safely and productively. You’ll need to keep up-to-date with all safety and environmental rules too.

We’re looking for someone with a bachelor’s degree in a related field like Supply Chain Management or Logistics. Ideally, you’ll have around 7 years of experience managing warehouse operations and teams. It’s important to be comfortable with warehouse management systems and understand how to track inventory. Knowing about Lean or Six Sigma for process improvement is a plus. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to analyze data and report on performance. Experience with ERP systems would be very helpful.

This position is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and is an onsite role. Salary details will be discussed during the interview process.
