You’ll own the backend that powers a cutting‑edge AI‑driven study‑abroad platform. The role is critical for scaling core student and counsellor journeys, and it offers the chance to shape architecture in a fast‑moving scale‑up.

What You’ll Do
Design and implement scalable Node.js services and REST/GraphQL APIs.
Model data and optimise PostgreSQL queries for high‑volume workloads.
Build and maintain stateful enrollment pipelines and matching workflows.
Define and enforce code quality, security, and reliability standards.
Own end‑to‑end service lifecycle: design, deployment, monitoring, incident handling.
Develop fallback mechanisms for AI‑driven processes.
Review pull requests and mentor peers to raise engineering quality.

What You Need
4+ years of backend development with deep Node.js expertise.
Production experience with PostgreSQL schema design, indexing, and query tuning.
Proven track record shipping scalable RESTful APIs.
Hands‑on integration of large language model (LLM) APIs in production.
Strong system design skills: service boundaries, data contracts, failure handling.
Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous, high‑ownership environments.
