Role Overview:
In this role as a Software Developer at Emerson, you will help translate the company’s digital transformation goals into executable and scalable agent development activities. You will be responsible for working on AI-enabled applications and agent-based solutions, implementing AI agents within the Ovation Intelligence ecosystem, and collaborating with a team of AI engineers, software developers, and domain SMEs to develop AI agents. Additionally, you will actively participate in designing and implementing the Agent Builder platform used to create custom user agents for various purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
– Translate Emersons digital transformation goals into executable, scalable agent development activities
– Work on AI-enabled applications and agent-based solutions
– Implement AI agents within the Ovation Intelligence ecosystem
– Collaborate with a team of AI engineers, software developers, and domain SMEs to develop AI agents
– Participate in the design and implementation of the Agent Builder platform
– Ensure the quality of agents to improve operator awareness, reduce troubleshooting time, enhance engineering productivity, and enable predictive maintenance workflows
– Define agent use cases and deployment strategies in collaboration with Engineering, Architecture, UX, QA, and domain SMEs
– Work with Cybersecurity teams to enforce Emersons security standards for AI-driven solutions
– Align compute, GPU usage, and performance requirements with infrastructure and platform teams
Qualifications Required:
– Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI/ML, or related fields
– 15 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML model development, deployment, and optimization
– Experience with large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, and industrial AI applications
– Understanding of distributed systems, cloud/on-prem architectures, APIs, and enterprise software development practices
– Knowledge of software development processes, including requirements definition, testing, validation, and deployment
